Data Analysis applied to SatCom equipment supervision ref: 004T2019SI

Description

We wish to study the behavior of satellite telecommunications from the physical layer to the application layer. We integrate many off the shelf products each having their own mode of operation. The goal is to retrieve the most pieces of information from these devices possible, in order to "make them talk" so the data can be analyzed afterwards.

You should:
1 - Handle all the components of a satellite communication chain from the application to the Satcom link through the network.
2 - Collect all the necessary pieces of information produced by different equipment and develop interfaces to do this if necessary.
3 - Analyze the data over time and study it using deep learning techniques.
4 - Present your analysis and propose solutions and/or predictions.

Desired profile

You are on your last semester on a 5-year engineering degree or Master degree in Telecommunications or Network Engineering and looking for an internship for your final year project. You want to work on satellite communications and you want to use automated Data Analysis techniques (DeepLearning, IA,…), interpret context-related system events in a satellite telecommunication environment, and imagine a coherent set of network, application, system and RF metrology.

You are autonomous, ready to take initiative and propose new ideas and exchange them with the rest of the team.
